Williams, Sue M., age 89, of Centerville, went home to join her husband, Bill (Maury T. Williams Jr.), with the Lord on Thursday, December 11, 2014. Sue loved her husband and her children, grandchildren and great grandchild.
With her always smiling, positive personality, she lit up a room wherever she went. She was sweet and kind to everyone who knew her. She loved God and lived life to the fullest, enjoying all of nature especially snow. Being in her presence always brought smiles and laughter. She was born February 20, 1925 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late George N. & Eulelia McDaniel. She loved music and sang with the Berclair (Baptist Church in Memphis) Trio which recorded an album. She had a beautiful alto voice and raised her children to sing and enjoy music.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her brothers: Leo, George T., Holloway, Bill and Alvin; and sister: Marie. Sue is survived by children: Terri Butler and Maury T. Williams III and his wife Teresa; grandchildren: Danny, Jennifer, Mark, Erin and Shannon; great grandchild: Abilene; and many other relatives and friends. Sue enjoyed traveling with her Bill to places around the world and to art shows throughout the Midwest and the South where they sold Bill's beautiful paintings.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel.
