Steven Eugene Reese, age 60, of Franklin, OH passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Erma Reese; and sister, Susan Bender. He is survived by his nieces, Jill (Steve) Jackson and Sarah (Steve) Russett. Born in Oswego, NY in 1953, Steve graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University in 1976. He worked as a mechanical engineer for several large paper industry companies including, Georgia-Pacific, Kimberly-Clark and most recently Appleton Papers, where he retired in 2008. Steve's love for cars is difficult to imagine. He hand-built a 1935 Street Rod and owned many muscle cars throughout his life, including a few rare exotics. He also was an avid Syracuse basketball fan, music lover and enjoyed the outdoors and boating. Summed up in two words, Steve was "cantankerously honest". He always expressed his honest opinion and was famous for the well put together rants he would occasionally share with his friends and family.
Private services will be held by the family. Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
