Steven Ray(Staup) Bowers
August 8, 1957 — July 5, 2013
Steven, age 55, joined the angels in the presence of the LORD after a short battle with lung cancer.
He is celebrating a reunion in heaven with his dad, Walter Staup, and his brother, Stanley Staup.
He left behind his mother, Rose Davis; foster mother, Ellen Hagerman; sister, Sandra (Nolan) Cunnagin; brother, Walt Staup; sister, Sarita Staup; foster brother, Keith Stevens; son, Matthew Bowers; grandson, Daniel Bowers; cats Wheezy and Grayboy and many friends who were blessed to be part of his life.
Steve had a deep appreciation for nature and all of the beauty of sunrises/sunsets, the ocean, mountains, birds, flowers, and all God's wonderful creations.
He served in the Navy and was proud of his military experience.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, with the service following at 4:00 PM.
