Steven Ralph Ney

Steven Ralph Ney, age 63 of Miamisburg, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 12, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Ralph and Geraldine Ney.

Steven was a 1978 graduate of Miamisburg High School and MCJVS where he took welding. He had numerous hobbies, including showing antique tractors with his father, biking, hiking, fishing, cars, and traveling and camping with his wife. Steven will be remembered for being a family man. He always made sure his girls were taken care of and was the best Papaw to Harley and Rowan.

Steven is survived by his wife of 40 years, Beverly; daughters, Crystal Ney (Randall Turner) and Amanda Ney; granddaughters, Harley and Rowan; sisters, Linda Frazier and Nancy Kisling; numerous relatives and many friends, including his best friend, Chris Williams; and his beloved cats, Smokey Joe, Tiny Might, Socks (aka Boots), and Tux.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his in-laws, Evelyn and Elmer Shepherd; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Paul Kiefer; uncle, Jack Thomas and cousin, Timothy Thomas.


Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). A Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of Dayton. Steven's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Cutler and his team at the Kettering Cancer Center for their excellent compassion and care.
