It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Christopher Glotfelter, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who unexpectedly departed from this world on February 9, 2025, in Beavercreek, Ohio. Born on December 21, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, Steven was a unique spirit whose legacy will forever resonate within the hearts of those who knew him.
Steven was a proud Army Vietnam War veteran, a testament to his courage and dedication. Upon returning to civilian life, he embraced the role of a jack of all trades, demonstrating his remarkable versatility in various endeavors. He enjoyed a fulfilling retirement for the past 15 years, cherishing every moment with his family and friends, who were often the recipients of his candid humor.
A graduate of Beavercreek High School, Steven also attended some college classes at Washington State University. He captivated those around him in the laughter and joy he shared with others. His very funny personality made him a cherished friend and companion to many, while his love for classic cars, horses and the thrill of riding his Harley Davidson reflected a vibrant and adventurous spirit. Steven’s collection of guns, knives and cowboy memorabilia further illustrated his interests. Together with his son, Tony, he was also an ardent supporter of The Ohio State University Football Team, proudly proclaiming, "Go Bucks!"
Steven’s greatest pride lay in his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Natalia Precious, who stood by his side through all of life's adventures. His children, Tony Glotfelter, Mary (Brian) Wallingford, and Ludwig David are left with countless fond memories of a father who instilled love, laughter, and strength in their lives. He was a doting grandfather to Skylar, Carter, Spencer, Lindsay, and Keegan, each of whom brought immense joy to his heart. His legacy continues through his great-granddaughter, Saige, whose life will carry the values and laughter he so dearly shared.
As we mourn the loss of Steven, we remember the vibrant life he lived, the love he spread, and the memories he created. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Mary Glotfelter, as well as his son, Carlo David.
