Steven Dwayne Dickerson

Steven Dwayne Dickerson, 20, of Waynesville, Ohio died July 15, 2013. He was born March 13, 1993 in Reading, Pennsylvania.

He attended Spring Valley Academy where he was a member of the varsity soccer team. Steven graduated from Great Lakes Academy in 2012 where he played football and basketball. He attended Andrews University majoring in Physical Therapy. He was a member of the Centerville SDA Church in Centerville, Ohio.

Known for his outgoing personality, infectious smile, outrageous humor, tender heart, and friendly demeanor, Steven was the warm welcoming center of any group. He loved working out at the gym, driving his Mazda, and hanging out with friends. He was quick to lend a hand, offer a listening ear, and encourage others.

Steven is survived by his parents Pat and Lyndel Dickerson and sister Heather; his paternal grandparents, Dwayne Dickerson of Apison, Tennessee and Jean Dickerson of Lansing, Michigan; his uncle, Martin Gray of Port Charlotte, Florida; his aunts, DaNette Dickerson of Sacramento, California, Nita Dickerson of Vashon, Washington, and Joretta Chamblee of Lansing, Michigan, and numerous relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Newcomer Funeral Home. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1:00p.m. to 3:15p.m. at the Centerville SDA Church, 456 W. Spring Valley Road, Centerville, Ohio. Funeral services will follow immediately at 3:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Burial will be held in private.

Relatives and out-of-town guests are invited to share a meal in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the funeral service.
