Steven Adkins, age 71, of Kettering, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022.
Steven was born in Maysville, KY on January 31, 1951 to the late Robert & Grace Adkins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Adkins and sister, Vicki J. Mason.
Steven is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Susie Hyder; children, Jo (Martin) Hurley, Ryan (Wendy) Adkins, Marc Elkins, Matt (Andrea) Elkins, Rich Adkins and Deb (Nick) Tidd; sister, Nicki (John) Sanner; brother, Ron Adkins; brother-in-law, Larry Mason; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and beloved cat, Diego.
Steven retired from General Motors after 30 years. He was a member of the UAW Local 696.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 5-7 pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. The service will follow at 7pm.
