Steve Swaney

Steve Swaney, age 74 of Centerville, passed peacefully Saturday, July 29, 2023 at his home. He was born March 22, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Norman and Iva Swaney. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Swaney and grandson, Kain Bentley.
Steve is survived by his darlin' wife, Connie Swaney; four children, Andi Stoll, Ryan (Lori) Swaney, Dave (Robin) Swaney, and Doug (Renee) Swaney; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Michelle Wood. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Steve was an Army Veteran and retired from General Motors in 2001. He enjoyed baseball, golf, playing Sudoku and card games. The most important thing to Steve was his family, especially long car rides with Connie and quality time with his grandchildren. He is well loved and will be deeply missed.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Steve's memory.
The family hopes those who would like to honor him will find a quiet time to remember who he was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together. In lieu of a public funeral service, individual families are encouraged to have their own private memorial. Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
