Steve was born on March 26, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, and subsequently acquired a Master's Degree in Business Administration. He had an incredibly strong bond with his fraternity brothers, who were loyal throughout his illness and a constant source of strength for Steve and Chris.
He worked at Premier Health Partners for over 20 years, first as a pharmacist, a pharmacy manager and then as a Pharmacy Architect in Information Technology. Steve was accomplished as one of the team who skillfully combined intelligence technology with clinician access to medical records to facilitate patient care. He was highly revered by his colleagues, who respected his leadership and ability to get the job done, while adding humor along the way.
Steve was a loving, loyal and generous husband, father, and grandfather by all accounts. He had a quick wit and was passionate about his family and friends. His children remember him as a kind and dedicated father who always encouraged them to pursue their goals. Steve was an avid animal lover and enjoyed traveling with his family. He always found humor and reliably identified the silver-lining in all situations. He viewed his family as his legacy; he was inspired by them and took pride in all of their accomplishments. What a well-lived life, making such significant contributions, while prioritizing spending precious time with children and grandchildren, including his dogs.
A memorial visitation is scheduled for Friday January 10, 2020 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel for family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones to visit and pay respects. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Steve's life.
