Stephen Phillip Upton

Stephen Phillip Upton, age 67 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born August 14, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Phillip and Jeannine Upton.
He is preceded in death by his father, Phillip "Bob" Upton.
Steve is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gail; two daughters, Teri Upton, Stephanie Gregory; son, Jon Upton; two grandchildren, Jason Lawson, Miranda Alsept; mother, Jeannine Upton; brother, Bernie (Lynn) Upton; sister, Becky (John) Magoto; best friend & Harley riding buddy, David (Darlene) Rice; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Steve spent many years working for Standard Register and a number of car dealerships in the area. He retired from Bob Ross Buick in Centerville. Steve was a member of the Moose Lodge in Miamisburg, loved camping and riding his Harley in his spare time.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home- South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to your favorite charity.
