Stephen Michael Sever, age 68 of Kettering, Ohio passed away on October 24th, 2023 after a very long battle with heart and kidney disease.
Steve was born on March 13, 1955, to Helen Irene (Mardis) Sever (deceased) and Thomas Sever (deceased) in Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Thomas Sever and Jerry Sever and nephew, John Sever. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Kerby) Sever and sons Thomas Sever and Daniel Sever and his beloved sister Barbara (Sever) Essman and her husband Mark Essman. Steve had many nieces and nephews and sister's in law and brother's in law that he loved.
Steve retired medically early in his career as a software engineer with LexisNexis formerly Mead Data Central. He was very proud of the work he did in his career and all that he was able to contribute to the beginnings of computer searching capabilities. Steve was a big sports fan and loved his Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds.
As per Steve's request, there will be no funeral but family and friends will gather at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
