Stephen Purk

Purk, Stephen Franklin, age 61 of Kettering, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2006 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born May 22, 1945 in Dayton, OH, the son of Marvin & Catherine (Helfenstine) Purk. He was retired from General Motors. He was active in the Christian faith and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Survivors include his parents, son, Robert (Christina) Purk of Franklin; daughter, Catherine Purk of Kettering; grandchildren, Alyssa, Joshua, David, & Jacob Purk and Buddy & Cori Molden; brother, Michael (Janet) Purk of Vandalia; and nephews, Tom & Andy Purk. Stephen will be dearly missed by all his relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, St. Paris. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 AM until the time of services. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
