Stephen D. Mellon

Mellon, Stephen Dennis, 57, departed this life at Hospice of Hope after extensive illness on Friday March 18, 2011. He was a lifetime resident of Dayton, Ohio, and a graduate of Stebbins High School. Those who knew him knew of his longtime enthusiasm for his motorcycles, movies, and music.

He was preceded in death by parents, Jessie and Troy Mellon and brother, Cecil T. He is survived by fiancée, Geneva Patrick; daughter, Gina Rebecca Mellon 31; 3 sons, Stephen Joshua 23, Jesse Jonathan 22, and Jacob Troy 19; 3 grand-daughters, Kieran Alexis (Lexi) 9, Lilly Kay 4, and new baby, Roslyn Lee 1mo; 1 sister, Reba Ann, and 2 brothers, Phillip Dwayne (Gloria) and Kenneth Eugene Mellon, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Wednesday March 23, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, with funeral services following at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
