Stephen Connor

Stephen E. Connor, age 69 of Fairborn, passed away July 21, 2014. He was born March 8, 1945 in Springfield to the late William and Helen Connor. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sisters: Juanita "Chic" Stapleton, Helen Yvonne "Nonie" Stewart, Orchid "Pat" Thompson and Buena Elise Connor; and brother, Garland Richard Connor.

Steve is survived by his wife of 48 years, Drena (Anders) Connor; daughter and son-in-law: Lynne and Dannie Henson; son, Stephen Connor, Jr.; grandchildren: Sadler and D.J. Henson; brother, William D. (Ruthanne) Connor, Jr.; sisters: Eunice (Charles) Bronkar and Rebecca Bright; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Steve was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Vietnam War. He was a member of DSPS, Dayton Society of Painters and Sculptors and retired from Giddings and Lewis, where he was president and founder of the Shutterbug Club.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12-1 pm. Burial to follow at Eversole Cemetery, New Lebanon. Contributions may be made in Steve's memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
