Stephen M. Burneka, "Steve," age 62 of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at The Christ Hospital. He was born May 9, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Stanley and Marjorie Burneka.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Tom and John Burneka sister, Peggy Snyder; brother-in-law, Richard Thies; and sister-in-law, Grace Burneka.
Steve is survived by his sisters, Roseanne Thies, Marianne (Phil) Raterman; brothers, Jerry Burneka, Dan Burneka (Kelly Lombardi), Frank (Dyla) Burneka; girlfriend, Shannon Mayo-Smith; brother-in-law, Mike Snyder; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Steve enjoyed singing, dancing, golfing and spending time with his girlfriend, Shannon. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on 10 am Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Our Lady of the Rosary (40 Notre Dame Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45404).
