Stella Ovalene Wakefield
April 25, 1943 — December 14, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Stella Ovalene Wakefield on December 14, 2023 while surrounded by loved ones, at age 80.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents Winfred and Vela Bilbrey, her brother Earl Bilbrey, and by her loving and devoted husband Ralph Wakefield.
Stella is survived by her children Elaine Young (Roy), Debra Cregar, Terry Wakefield, Tamara Knox (Tim Knecht), Clayton Howard, Kim Gibbs, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, and host of Cousins, Nephews, and Nieces.
Stella loved spending time with her Grandchildren, family and friends, listening to Gospel Music, and sitting on her porch while enjoying the sun and her garden. She was funny, artistic, a loyal friend and a most giving soul.
Her love and friendship will be dearly missed, but she will never be forgotten.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will begin at 1:30pm officiated by Pastor Loudermilk. Stella will be laid to rest by her husband at Dayton Memorial Park.
