Stella Marcum

Stella Marcum, age 85 of Fairborn, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Dayspring of Miami Valley. She was born October 12, 1939 in San Marcos, Texas the daughter of the late Rev. Carlos and Carlotta Garcia.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Stella Marcum, who left this world peacefully on. Stella was a beacon of love and warmth, always putting her family first and embracing her role as the heart of the home.

A proud homebody, Stella found immense joy in caring for her loved ones, especially the children who brought light to her life. Her nurturing spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she touched. When she wasn’t doting on her family, she could often be found engrossed in her favorite telenovelas, speaking Spanish with passion and pride, or losing herself in the quiet pleasure of dot-to-dot books.

Stella’s love, wisdom, and unwavering support were the foundation of her family’s happiness. Her presence was a constant reminder of the beauty of simplicity, the strength of family, and the joy of living in the moment.

She will forever remain in our hearts, a guiding light of love and family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary C. Marcum; daughter, Carla Yvonne Lilly; grandsons, Milton Lambros III and Eric Lilly; and son-in-law, Philip Palmer.

Stella is survived by her children, Rebecca Jameson, David (Tammy) Todd, Debra Palmer, Tonya (Jerry) Tuttle and Charlsee (P.J) Tatone; grandchildren, Erica Jameson, Marvin Jameson, Sydnee Todd, Jody Todd, Nikki Pennartz, Jamie Jury, Matthew Palmer, Jesse Palmer, Heather McCloud, Joshua McCloud, Alexis Tuttle, Trista Tuttle and Maria Mahon; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and brother, Frank Garcia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project in Stella's honor.

Services will be at The Apostolic Sanctuary (1907 Centralia Ave, Fairborn, OH 45324) on Saturday February 8, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
