Stella L. Greene

Greene, Stella L. age 60, of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 10, 2008 after a long illness. She was the beloved daughter of Edna Greene and the late Perry Greene, Jr. Stella was a member of Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church for 41 years. She was a cosmetologist in Dayton and owned her own beauty shop for many years. She was loved and cherished by those who knew her and cared for her. She endured suffering for many years yet kept a loving Christian spirit which was an inspiration to all. She leaves to mourn her passing 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Willie P. Greene of Dayton, Robert E. Greene and wife Carolyn of Riverside, Darcus E. Philpot and husband Paul of West Carrollton, Connie Donaldson and husband Lynn of Dayton. She leaves nieces, Heather, Holly Beth, Rachel, Amanda and Sarah, and nephews Matthew and Zachary whose lives she touched in a very special way. She was our "Sissy" who always gave so much more to us than we could ever give to her. We rejoice in the knowledge that she is in Heaven. Our family would like to send special thanks to the Neuroscience Unit at Miami Valley Hospital for their superb care of Stella and the love they gave our family. The family will receive friends Friday, September 12, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 11:00 with Pastor Hollie J. VanHoose officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
