Stanley Shively, Jr.
age 78, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born March 15, 1930 in Portsmouth, OH, the son of Stanley & Kathryn (Scott) Shively. He served in the US Air Force for 22 years and also taught in Roth and Dunbar High Schools and served as Athletic Director for both schools. He was Treasurer for the Roosevelt Memorial Track Meet. Stanley was a member of the Second Church of Christ, Scientist. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marilyn; children, Scott Shively and Janice Shively; grandchildren, Elizabeth & Kyle; sister, Mary Anne Lawson; and 8 nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Chapel, North Chapel.
