GARLTIC, Stanley R., age 83 of Kettering passed away Monday, January 30, 2006 at the Oaks of West Kettering Nursing Home, where he received excellent care. He served his country during WWII in the US Army in the South Pacific. A Scout Leader for many years, Stan also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening, and all animals. Stan was a long-time member of the Southern Hills United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Margaret; sons: Thomas Garltic and David (Becky) Garltic; grandchildren: Jessica (Matt) Schulthies, Thomas Alan Garltic Jr., Jonathan David Garltic; great-grandsons: Jonah Schulthies and Thomas Alan Garltic III; sister-in-law, Frances Meager; brother and sisters: Edward, Estella, and Betty; numerous nieces and nephews; and very special friends Jim and Helen Bourne. Family and friends will gather from 5-7PM Thursday, February 2, 2006 at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd.). Funeral Services will be held 10AM Friday at the funeral home, Rev. Dean Penrod, officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Cemetery, Waynesville.
