Stanley E. Myers, age 88 of Beavercreek, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016. He was born May 14, 1928 in Wheelersburg, Ohio, the son of the late Floyd and Nancy Myers, step mother, Estella Myers.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Gladys, Frances, Hazel, Peg, and Mildred, and brother, Robert.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 64 years, Norma Jean Myers (married November 29, 1952); four daughters, Barbara (Roger) Hardy, Carol (Jim) Dittmar, Denise (Timothy) Haun, Ellen (Malcom) McCuiston; two sons, Paul (Joyce) Myers and Brad Myers (Janet Israel); grandchildren, Dawn Jones, Crystal (Jamie) Long, Jeremy (Heidi) Hardy, Nathan Dittmar (Holly Vickers), Jared Dittmar, Melissa (Steve) Lambert, Mark (Molly) Haun, Brandon Lickas, Madalyn and Cole Myers; great grandchildren, Preston, Henson, and Taylor Jones, Katlyn (Jordan) Eberg, Tyler, Sierra, Ethan, and Lucas Hardy, Marcus and Maci Haun, Hannah Bailey and Dalton Lambert; great great grandchildren, Abigail, Isabella, and Colton Eberg; step grandchildren, Johnny Howard, Josh and Donnie Paige, Madelynn Vickers, and Brenna Lambert, as well as a host of other family and friends.
Stanley attended Wheelersburg High School where he graduated in 1947. He served two years in the U.S. Army in Korea and Japan. He was employed for 30 years with NCR and retired from Elder Beerman after 15 years.
Stanley enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, boating, camping, quilting, but most of all his greatest passion was his family.
