Stanley L. Brightman
Age 77, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Ann Brightman; one son, Timothy "Freddy" Brightman; one sister, Ruthella Yeager; and by two brothers, Ralph & Norman Brightman.
Stanley is survived by five children, Gregory Brightman, Richard Brightman, Nancy & her husband, Henry Robbins, Penny Brightman and Bruce & his wife, Marcia Brightman; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, Mandy, Tera, Joey, Shawn, Melissa, Delaney; thirteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Kenny (Mary), Roger (Ruth) and Lawrence Brightman; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Stanley was a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He retired as an over-the-road Transportation Specialist (truck driver) and was a member of the Million Mile Safe Driving Club. Stanley never met a stranger.
The family will be receiving friends from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Willow View Cemetery.
