Stanley A. Fahnestock

March 30, 1923 — June 13, 2014

Fahnestock, Stanley Allen, born March 30, 1923 in Union City, Indiana, passed away June 13, 2014 in Kettering, Ohio. Stan's health slipped after the passing of his wife of 70 years, Joyce.

Stan and Joyce married in England during WWII while he was serving in the Army with the 652nd Bombardment Squadron. After the war, he worked at the Dayton Daily News until he joined N.C.R. as a secretary for the CEO and worked until his retirement. He assisted Joyce with her estate sales and antique business. They enjoyed many buying trips and visiting with family while in England. A man of many talents, Stan enjoyed reading, playing chess at Hithergreen Center and creating a comic strip called "Little Dad". Also preceding him in death was his son, Mark at the age of 11. He will be remembered with a foundation in his name. Many thanks to his personal caregivers and Hospice of Dayton for the kindness and respect extended to him.

Funeral services will be held privately. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel.
