Stoudermire, Stanford L., "Stan", age 49, formerly of Dayton, Ohio resided in Castro Valley, CA where he passed away January 31, 2018.
He was born March 1, 1968 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Johnnie and Mary (Blackman) Maddox. When he was 15 years old, Stan moved to California where he stayed for a couple of year and later he relocated to Bremerton, WA where he completed his education. His hard work ethic allowed him an opportunity to secure a job as a Laborer/Firewatch at the Puget Sound Ship Yard. Wanting more challenges, he later decided to change his line of work, ventured into the medical field as a Transporter Assistant for Swedish Hospital from 1999 – 2002. Still seeking to educate himself for a better position, he left Seattle, WA with his wife Harriet in search for yet a more rewarding career. On his arrival to California, he was immediately hired at Kaiser Permanente where he utilized his talents and strengths within the medical field working 18 years apart of the Kaiser Medical Staffing as an Ambulance Services Transporter, and then as a Patient Mobility Technician always working to better himself professionally, Stan pursued MRI/X-Ray Technician Program. His work ethics was recognized by Kaiser via many Letters of Appreciation and certificates for perfect attendance through the years.
He was a sportsman, starting every day working out in the gym, he loved life to the fullest and openly treated everyone he met like family.
Stan was a great Brother, Uncle, Husband, Brother In-Law, Step-father and Step-Grandfather. Stan maintained a great love connection with his family especially his "Big Sis and Brother-in-law", Brenda and Terry Wilson along with his very best life-long friend and former wife Harriet Laday Stoudermire, his favorite cousin, Leonard and Alita Taylor, and a host of family members including Elbert Stoudermire and wife Angela, Felix Stoudermire, Felicie Stoudermire, Mark Stoudermire, Nora Stoudermire, special cousin James Mock, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Victor Stoudermire, Jeffrey Stoudermire, Henry Stoudermire, and sister, Martha Stoudermire.
Stan's family wants to acknowledge a heartfelt thank you to Harriet for her loving care and support of Stan throughout their life together.
