When he was 15 years old, Stan moved to California where he stayed for a couple of year and later he relocated to Bremerton, WA where he completed his education. Stan maintained a great love connection with his family especially his "Big Sis and Brother-in-law", Brenda and Terry Wilson along with his very best life-long friend and former wife Harriet Laday Stoudermire, his favorite cousin, Leonard and Alita Taylor, and a host of family members including Elbert Stoudermire and wife Angela, Felix Stoudermire, Felicie Stoudermire, Mark Stoudermire, Nora Stoudermire, special cousin James Mock, nieces, nephews and cousins.
