Stan Dishon

Stanley Hugh Dishon, age 76 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Encompass Health Care. He was born December 9, 1942 in Highway, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Nora Dishon.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Paula Jones; children, Jeff L. (Alisa) Dishon and Angela R. (Patrick) Lance; grandchildren, Regan, Peyton, Lindsey and Madeline; siblings, Willie (Sue) Dishon and Frances (Barry) Baker; in-laws, Judith Earle, Sharon Curren and Janice Morwick and many nieces and nephews, including Julie Lantz who provided a great deal of support to the family.

Stan was a 1960 graduate of Emmerich Manual High School and received his degrees in higher education at Purdue University and obtaining his Master's in Education in 1969. Stan taught industrial education in junior high and high school for almost 30 years in Indiana and at Kettering Schools. He was a member of Springdale Church of the Nazarene and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and working with stain glass and wood. Stan will always be remembered for his sense of humor and the joy he shared with others.

Family will receive friends Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Springdale Nazarene Church at 11177 Springfield Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45246, where a memorial service will follow at 12 p.m.
