McCURRY Sr., SSG Mark E.
Age 51, passed away March 29, 2015. He was born January 2, 1964 in Dayton, OH to Jerry and Sue McCurry. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry McCurry.
He is survived by his wife, Josie McCurry; daughter, Megan (Rod Kerchner) McCurry; son, Mark McCurry Jr.; step-daughters, Sarah (Kevin) Hofkens and Christiana (Daniel) Hilderbrand; mother, Sue McCurry; brother, Jonn (Kim) McCurry; sister, Kathleen (Jeff) Creath; grandchildren, Larry Looney and Payton Looney; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Mark proudly retired from the United States Army in 2012 after 29 years of service. Mark was a dedicated leader, son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - North, 4104 Needmore Rd. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 3, 2015 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow with military honors at The Dayton National Cemetery.
