Spencer Bruce Landor, age 77, of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022. He graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1962. Spencer was a United States Air Force Veteran proudly serving during the Vietnam War.
Spencer was an active member of Church of Christ Collegiate Heights under the direction of Minister Roger Henderson of Dayton, Ohio, serving as Scripture Leader, Song Leader and Teacher of the congregation for many years.
He was a member of the Lenistien Thornton Lodge #329, St. Mark Lodge #165, F. & A.M., and Scottish Rite, member of the Upper House Degree, Mecca Temple #11, the Ohio Grand Patron, O.E.S., of Dayton, Ohio.
During his career, Spencer served the Ohio State Highway Patrol as a Sergeant in 1977, Jefferson Twp. Police Dept., moving his career to Miami Valley Hospital Security Dept. from 1978 until his retirement in 2008.
Spencer leaves his legacy of love to his loving niece and her husband: Dawn Dunson-Landor-Bouldin (Nathan W.); step niece: Christine Dunson; and close friends: Julius Johnson and Mark West. He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert C. Landor and Theoda L. (Johnson) Landor, and brother: Clifford A. Landor. Spencer will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 11:30am until time of service at 12:30pm at Church of Christ Collegiate Heights, 4310 Germantown Pike, Dayton, Ohio with Minister Roger Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
