Solomon Rose

Solomon Rose, age 79 of Dayton, passed away May 5, 2012. He was born April 13, 1933 in Jackson, KY to the late Scott and Abrelia Rose. In addition to his parents, Solomon was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; and brother, George Rose.
Solomon is survived by his children: Cindy (Ray) Taylor, Chris (Julie) Rose and Greg Rose; grandchildren: Sarah (Jason) Carson, Joe Bryant, Aaron Taylor, Ben Taylor, Lauren Rose, Haley Rose and Jenna Rose; great grandchildren: Madilyn Carson and Cassidy Bryant; brother, Scott Rose, Jr.; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends: Anneliese DiGiacomo, Steve Coleman and Bob Ambos.
Solomon was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired after 37 years of service from DP & L.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for 2 hours prior to the service, from 5-7 pm. Contributions may be made in Solomon's name to VITAS Hospice, 3055 Kettering Boulevard, Dayton, Ohio 45439.
