Sixta Betancourt Rivera, age 81 of Kettering, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Kettering Health Main Campus. She was born on September 1, 1941 in Loiza, Puerto Rico the daughter of Modesto Betancourt and Benedicta Rivera.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Benedicta Rivera, father, Modesto Betancourt, and beloved husband, Juan Canales.
Sixta is survived by her three daughters, Maria, Ana, and Maria; two sons, Jose and Jose; fourteen grandchildren, Christopher, Miosotis, Marcelo, Johnathan, Juan, Joseph, Barbie, Josean, Gaby, Jomar, Shakira, Canino, Jahaira, and Xaimara . She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Sixta enjoyed gardening, listen to music, dance, and traveling to be with her family. She is well loved and will be deeply missed.
The family hopes those who would like to honor her will find a quiet time to remember who she was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together. Funeral Services are pending at this time. Sixta will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Juan Canales in Puerto Rico.
