Signe Michon Woods, an artist whose passion was for arts, crafts, and her family, died at Hospice of Dayton after a brief illness on Saturday, October 10, 2015.
She was 75, and the widow of Richard Harrison Short, Korean war Navy veteran.
Signe was an enthusiastic, very creative soul who loved all aspects of art from painting to vintage crafting.
As beloved mother of Scott Woods, of Williams, AZ,Lora Woods Diller of Van Wert, OH and Kevin Woods, of Oakwood, OH and cherished sister of Christine Abbey-Carlton and Mike Kraushar, she was the matriarch of the immediate family. As doting grandmother of Nicholas Mattevi, and Andrew Diller both in the US Army, and Holly and Nathan Diller both at Bob Jones University, and Jane and Phoebe Woods, both talented in art, dance and music, she was very proud of each of her grandchildren's many achievements.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends, but we all are so grateful to have the wonderful memories of how she lived life bountifully and with great love. Her legacy will live on through her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Signe's memory to the Hospice of Dayton.
Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel.
