BRZEZICKI, Sigmund W.
age 68 of Xenia, passed in peace Thursday, March 30, 2006. Sig was born in Wyszkow, Poland in 1937, came to the United State as a young boy. He lived in Mt Vernon, OH where he graduated from St Vincent de Paul High School. He came to Dayton in 1956 to attend UD and graduated from what was then known as the Technical Institute (TI) with an Associate Degree of Engineering. He later returned to the University in 1961 where he worked for the Research Institute and obtained his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1970. He was named Purchasing Agent for the University of Dayton Research Institute, a job he held with great pride until his retirement in 1999, after which he spent many happy hours working outside on his property in Xenia, OH. He was the loving father of his only son, Chris, and three daughters, Karen Ehlers, Kathy Garner, and Jill Brzezicki and loved his four grandchildren: Tim Reynolds, Alec and Ian Ehlers, and Lexis Garner. For those who wish to remember Sig, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to A Special Wish Foundation in honor of his grandson, Ian Ehlers. A memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. with visitation between 6:00-8:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held privately by the family in Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum the following day.
