Sidney E. Green Jr.

GREEN, Sidney E. Jr., age 81, of Miami Twp., went home to be with the Lord, while surrounded by his family & loved ones on Friday, November 9, 2018.

He was born in Richmond, KY on May 9, 1937 to the late Sid & Lorraine (Drew) Green.

Sidney was preceded in death by his grandson, Johnathan.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Ava Green; ex-wife, Nancy (Jack) Poole; sons, Scott Alan (Stephanie) Green and Jeffrey Robert (Beth) Green; step-children, Rob (Amanda) Dugger and Shelly (Gregg) Azzopardi; grandchildren, Kasey Goff, Samantha and Sarah Green, Sydney and Cheyenne Green; step-grandchildren, Madison, Riley and Evelynn Dugger, Bailey and Keira Azzopardi; step-great-granddaughter, Lily; sister, Glenda Sue (Ronald) Hale; and numerous other relatives, friends and neighbors.

Sidney graduated in Cincinnati from North College Hill H.S. class of 1956. He then attended the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University.

Sidney was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Columbia Masonic Lodge #44.

After a long career, he retired from General Electric.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 3-5pm at Newcomer South, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. The service will follow at 5pm. An additional Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, November 17, at White Oak Pond Christian Church (1238 Barnes Mill Rd.) in Richmond, KY for a Celebration of Life from 12-2pm.
