Shirley Yates

Shirley J. Yates, age 76, of Fairborn, passed away on Monday February 27, 2012. She was born on January 30, 1936 in Coeburn, VA to the late J.W. and Irene Stallard. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Billy R. Yates, Sr.; brother, Vilos Stallard and two sisters, June Mullins and Carol Ealey.

Shirley is survived by children, Suzanne (Rick) Beverley, and Billy (Judy) Yates; four grandchildren, Allan, Jenny, Jessica and Isaiah; two great grandchildren, Aidan and Tristan.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 6, 2012 at 12:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, where the family will receive friends for an hour prior from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Burial will take place at 2:00 pm at Dayton National Cemetery.
