Shirley Winhoven

Shirley M. Winhoven, age 75 of Dayton, passed away December 20, 2011 at Oak Creek Terrace Nursing Home. She was born October 10, 1936 in Dayton to the late Hugh and Dorothy Rich. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Winhoven; and sister, Gloria Staliy.

Shirley is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: James and Linda Winhoven; 2 grandchildren: James M. Winhoven, Jr. and Sherry L. McDonald; 6 great grandchildren: Megan, Rodney, Christopher, Sierra, Jordan and Jonathan; sisters: Beverly Calhoun, Dorothy King and Janet Rorhback; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Shirley was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
