Shirley Y. Stoops, age 85 of Union, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 at Cypress Pointe Health Campus. She was born December 14, 1933 in Loveland, Colorado the daughter of Robert and Ruby Lawton.
A self-proclaimed gypsy, Shirley loved nature and Southwestern culture. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was very spiritual, loved God and did a lot of missionary work in Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Lawton, mother, Ruby Lawton; and brother, Bob Lawton.
Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Cathy (Tam) Smith, Shirley Stine (Roger Owens); two sons, Ron (Angie) Stoops, Rick (Penny) Stoops; grandchildren, Mark Ryan Graves, Chet Stine, Josh Stine, Trevis Truesdale Carlisle, Tyler Smith and Nicole Smith; great grandson, Ashton Stine; sister, Patricia (Terry) McFee; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved.
A Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Faustman Ranch.
