SOLBERG, Shirley K. age 76, of Wright Place in Xenia, formerly of Beavercreek, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Mildred Kopf, of Dayton; and ex-husband, Clifford W. Solberg, of Minneapolis, MN. She is survived by her daughter, Jodi and husband Jim McSwiney, of Beavercreek; grandchildren, Kari L. McSwiney, and Erin A. McSwiney; brother, Richard and wife Betty Kopf, of Eaton; niece, Pam Kraska, of Tipp City; nephew, David Kopf, of Brookville; cousins, Carolyn and husband Ernie Franklin, of Kettering, and Robert and wife Carolyn Underwood, of MI; and numerous relatives and friends. She graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1950, and went on to work at Frigidaire, Price Brothers Company, and then formed her own book keeping business from her home. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. A memorial service will be 2 pm Friday, March 20, 2009 at St. John's United Church of Christ, 515 E. Third St. in Dayton with Rev. Brakemeyer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, or Cincinnati Childrens Hospital.
