PETTIT, Shirley A. age 81 went home to be with the Lord June 10, 2012 at Livingston Care Center.
She was born August 25, 1930 to the late, John and Lillian Fuerst. She is also preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Gerald, John, and Martin Fuerst and son-in-law, Butch Shelton.
She is survived by children, Terry (Teresa) Barger, Vicki (Fred) Wade, Gail Shelton, and Eugene Pettit; sister, Rita Knox; grandchildren, Shannon (Matt) Queen, Brandon Barger, Travis (Amanda) Barger, Aaron (Kathy) Posey, Jonathon Wade, Lilly Wade, Darius Brehm, Rachel Brehm, Brandy (Ben) Harrison, Samantha (Mike) Vargo, Steve (Janelle) Shelton, Rick Mullenix, Brandy (AJ) Maxwell, Alyssa Pettit, Sarah Pettit, James Pettit, and Corey Pettit; and numerous great-grandchildren; and other dear family members and friends.
Shirley was a telephone operator for 44 years and was a member of the Air Street Church of God.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home – North, 4104 Needmore Rd. Interment to follow at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, June 15, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
