Shirley A Parrish

Shirley A. Parrish, age 71, passed away on February 24, 2024. She was born on April 19, 1952 in Sand Gap, KY to the late Lula and Fenex Bowman.

Shirley was loving, kind and giving. She would give anything to help others. Shirley was a member of Evangel Church of God in Dayton, OH. She loved spending time with animals and people. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Brandon Collins; her nephews, Rick Lai and Billy Lai; great nephew, Ricky Lai Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Bill Lai.


She is survived by her children, Cindy (Gary) Lowe, Stephen Parrish and William Parrish III; her grandchildren, Bridget Zimmerman, Corey (Lucas) Preston, Katelynn Lowe, Devin (Nicholas) Lomax, Dusty Parrish, Heather Barnett and Chase Schockey; her 10 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Wanda Lai, Fenex P. Bowman and Eddie (Gina) Bowman and her nieces, Billi Lai, Brandi Lai and Melisity Lai. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm with services immediately following, all at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the family to help offset funeral expenses.

Shirley will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, OH.
