Shirley E. Mckinley

Shirley Elizabeth McKinley, age 45 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born December 12, 1973 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Waldo and Shirley McKinley.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sister, Leila McKinley.

Shirley is survived by her siblings, Betty Jane McKinley, Louis McKinley, David (Judy) McKinley and James McKinley; nieces and nephews, Steven, Shirley and Samantha Powell, Barbara McKinley, Daniel and Joseph McKinley and boyfriend, Russel Baker as well as many friends.

Shirley was high school graduate in 1992. She was an art teacher at Bethel Baptist School, West Carrollton. Shirley loved dogs, especially Boston Terriers, wrote poetry and doll collecting

Family will receive guests from 1:30-3:00 pm on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 pm also at the funeral home and officiated by Dr. Charles Brewster. Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville will serve as Shirley's final resting place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton at 1661 Nicholas Rd., Dayton, OH 45417.
