Shirley Johnson, age 64, passed away on August 22, 2022. She was born October 23, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Paul Sr. and Juanita Capps. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Danny R. Johnson; siblings: Patricia, Debra, Betty, Carol, Edward, David, and Paul Jr; and nephews: Matthew and Jason.
Shirley is survived by her children: Danielle (Heather) Johnson and Jackie Johnson; grandchildren: Katrina (Adam), Kayla (Haley), Daniel, Christopher, and Wesley; siblings: Robin, Wanda, and Brenda; close friends: Nancy, Tomi, and Anna; and many other family and friends.
Shirley was a hard worker. She enjoyed baking and loved to spend holidays baking with her siblings. Christmas was her favorite time of year, especially family celebrations. She also enjoyed playing bingo and watching Harry Potter. Spending time with her grandkids was one of the most important things to Shirley.
A visitation will be held on Friday August 26, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. She will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery.
