Shirley Jeanne Konz
Age 76, of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Charles R. Konz; and by one grandson, Chad W. Schneider.
Shirley is survived by five children, Debra (James) Kuntz, Tammy (Patrick) Peterson, Michael (Teresa) Konz, Jeffrey Konz and Marsha (Jack) Ikerd; eleven grandchildren, James Jr. (Tasha), Jennifer (Douglas), Julie, Joseph (Rebecca), Ryan, Andrew, Savanna (Wyatt), James III, Jessica, Tyler and Julia; two great grandchildren, Issiah and Annalise; two sisters, Mary Tatum and Edith McCroskey; and by her extended family & many good friends.
Shirley was thought of as "Mother" at the Arbor House Group Home where her son Jeffrey resides.
The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Timothy D. Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Shirley and her late grandson, Chad Schneider to The Hospice of Dayton.
