WALTER, Shirley J. age 84, passed away July 16, 2011 at Heartland of Beavercreek.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Walter; son, Paul Robert; four sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by eight children, Denise (Doug) Meyer, Patricia Wellmeier, Nancy (Stephen) Wethington, Ed (Penny) Walter Jr., Mary Ann (David) Cotton, Chuck Walter, Carolyn (John) Duncan, and Jim (Donna) Walter; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 11:00 am at Ascension Catholic Church, 2025 Woodman Dr. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
