Shirley Irene Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Shirley I., age 83, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Richard Montgomery; 2 sons, Michael and Ricki Montgomery; and son-in-law, Michael Piazza. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Susan, Sally, Laura, and Joan; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Rachael), Anna (Brian), Samuel, Franklin, Michael, Diana, and Susane; great-grandchildren, Gunnar, Toshiro, Esmeralda, and Manuel; brother-in-law, James Montgomery; daughter-in-law, Karla; and many other relatives and friends. Shirley was a life long member of the OEA and NEA. She taught and retired from Trotwood Madison Schools. Shirley was an avid gardener, and devoted wife and mother. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). She opened her heart and home to many people.
