Shirley Jean Hampton, age 78 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2018. Shirley was born on March 23, 1940 to the late James Hill, Sr. and Gladys Hill. She enjoyed bowling and gardening in her free time. Shirley retired from Vienna Beauty Products after many years of loyal service.
She was a kind, caring, and compassionate woman who took great pride in her family. Shirley was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, John Hampton; sisters, Pam, Pat, and Betty; brothers, Mickey, Dale "Maurice", Leon, and Bob.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memory, loving sons, John Hampton, Tom (Patty) Hampton, and Ron (Brenda) Hampton; sisters, Mary, Barb, Kathy, and Janet; brothers, George and Jack; numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Newcomer - North Chapel at 1:30pm. Visitation will be held for one hour prior (12:30p - 1:30p). Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
