Shirley Ann Gall, 81 departed her loving family in the evening hours of October 2, 2023.
Shirley was born September 6, 1942, in Jellico, Tennessee to the late James and Lena Broyles. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her infant daughter Tara Lynn, born September 15, 1972, and her seven siblings: James, Daisy, Lois, Lillian, Willie, Kelsey Ray, and Bobby Joe.
She is survived by her daughter Teresa (Joshua) Bagwell, her grandchildren Shaughn (Rika) Slone, Drake Barton, Kirsten (Ethan) Pogue, Katelynn, and Mathew Bagwell, as well as her very special nephew Dave Broyles. She is also survived by numerous family and friends. Shirley was known as Mom and Mamaw to many.
Shirley retired from The Kroger Company's Bakery Department (Miamisburg) in the early 2000s, allowing her to spend precious time with her family. Her daughter and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she was a proud and devoted mother and grandmother in all aspects of their lives, making many fond memories. She was a generous and kind soul, always looking out for others and putting their needs above her own. She loved sewing, word searches, dancing around the house, and always had Criminal Minds on her TV. She also enjoyed shopping at Goodwill and could never pass up a good garage sale. Shirley will forever be remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439). Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439). Shirley will be laid to rest following Thursday's services at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens (8200 W National Rd, New Carlisle, OH 45344)
