Shirley Etta Collins

Shirley E. Collins, age 78 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Heartland of Kettering. She was born May 24, 1936 in Somerset, KY to the late George Baker and Jeanetta (Poynter) Donlouie. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and brother, George Winfred Baker.

She is survived by her sister, Freida Rickey; brother, William Baker and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.

A visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, 5900 U.S. 27, Science Hill, KY 42553, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 26. Interment will follow the service at Poplarville Cemetery, Poplarville, KY.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, in Shirley's memory.
