SEAMAN, Shirley Elizabeth, age 73, of Beavercreek, passed away at Hospice of Dayton Thursday, June 19, 2008. She was born December 4, 1934 in Oxford, New York. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Seaman, Sr.; a son, Steven Seaman; two sisters, Marian and Florence; sister-in-law, Betty Ann; brother-in-law, Dick. She is survived by two sons, a daughter and three grandchildren. John Seaman, Jr. and his wife Denise of Dayton, Eric Seaman and his wife Anita and their two daughters, Olivia and Maddie of Kettering, Julie Davis and her two children, Clint and Elizabeth of Beavercreek. She is also survived by her brother and his wife, Ed and Helen Tucker (GA), brother and sister-in-laws, Don and Deloris Seaman (KY), Dave and Sarah Seaman (NY), Bob and Fran Seaman (NY), Chuck and Joan Seaman (NY), sister-in-law, Donna Seaman (NY), a sister-in-law and her husband, Janie and Moe Eccleston (NY) and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends, especially Jack and Jim Dowler. She worked for Dowler Opticians for over 20 years. Shirley loved her family passionately and enjoyed many football, baseball, basketball, and soccer games. She took great pride in her flowers and keeping her yard groomed. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 22, 2008 from 2-5 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Monday, June 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Andrew Brewster officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Thank you for all your generous care, support, and guidance.
