Shirley A. Durbin age 88, of Beavercreek passed away October 11, 2018 at her home.
She was born October 23, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Julius and Leola (Waltz) Rathweg.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband William in 1995 and her son, Julius in 1999. Her bothers Norman, Don and Russ Rathweg and sister Donna Kline also preceded her in death.
She enjoyed reading, wine tasting and tending her memorial garden.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Jennifer Durbin (Don Templeton) and son, Jeffery Durbin, daughter-in-law Betty Durbin; grandchildren Sam (Trish), Shawn (Jessie), Shiann and Perry; great grandchildren, brother Walt (Theresa) Rathweg, sister Rita Dusak; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Shirley's family will greet family and friends from 9-11:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
