Shirley A. Bartley, age 78 of Dayton, passed away February 23, 2017 at The Hospice of Dayton. She was born October 1, 1938 in Harlan, KY to the late William and Bertha (Smith) Neff. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sons, Gary and Gregory Bartley.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Jesse) McCloud; son, Gerald (April) Bartley; grandchildren, Angela (Eric) Barrett, Crystal (Nathan Harrison) Mullins, Jesse McCloud, William McCloud, Shawn Reynolds and Jesse Wayne Morgan; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Loraine) Neff; beloved pet, Lucky and numerous extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to The Hospice of Dayton and their home health care staff for all the care and compassion they gave Shirley.
Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM with Pastor Todd Hoskins officiating. Interment will follow the service at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Trotwood.
