Shirley Mae Banks, age 87, of Dayton, passed away on March 16, 2024, under the care of Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Gallipolis, Ohio, on January 22, 1937, the daughter of the late Andrew and Greta Carroll.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Pamela Bellomy; grandson, Aaron Davis; dear friend, John Hollon; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Brenda (Mike) Blair; son-in-law, Tony Bellomy; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Cramer, Justin Blair and Heather (Joey) Davis; great grandchildren, Mckenzy, Rhylee and Cruz Cramer, Axton Blair, Lillian and Nora Davis; special friends, Delores, Richard and Beth Blair; and many other loving family and friends.
Shirley retired from Beavercreek City Schools, where she worked in the lunchroom, Lofino's Grocery, where she worked in the Deli, and also from Meijer, where she was a Greeter. In her free time, she enjoyed going shopping, spending time with her multiple church families and adored her time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:30pm-1:00pm, on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
